Plants vs. Zombies 1025.0.0 is a puzzle strategy tower defense game developed by the American company PopCap Games, and it is the first work in the Plants vs. Zombies series. It was released on May 5, 2009. This game has multiple versions on PC, including the standard version, the annual edition, the Great Wall edition, the Journey to the West edition, and the remastered edition. Players can arm various plants and switch between different functions to quickly and effectively block zombies on the invasion path. Different enemies and gameplay create five different game modes, and obstacles such as night, fog, and pools add to the game's challenge. The game Plants vs. Zombies was designed by George Fan, a game designer. Initially, it was intended as a sequel to "Odd Fish Aquarium," involving increasing the number of aquatic creatures in the aquarium, protecting fish from alien invasions, and also referencing the tower defense games in "Warcraft III." When George Fan realized that plants and zombies were more suitable for the theme of this game than fish and aliens, he shifted from making a sequel to creating a new game, and established the initial idea of the Pea Shooter unit, marking the first time sunlight was considered as a resource. The framework of Plants vs. Zombies is a community-oriented open software framework by PopCap Games called the SexyApp Framework. This software development kit uses C++. TuxCap, which is derived from it, supports Linux and Mac OS X, is basically compatible with PopCap, and provides additional Python bindings, physics engines, and other features.
