Spiel des Jahres recommended game, Jaipur is one of the most beloved two-player board games. Jaipur is a fast-paced two-player card game that combines strategy, risk, and luck. You are Jaipur, one of the powerful merchants in the capital of Rajasthan. You and your opponent compete to show the king that you can earn more profit than your competitor. At the end of each round, one player receives the King's excellence seal, and the player who first gets two excellence seals will be granted the privilege of being invited to the King's court! In each round, you can choose to draw a card, exchange your cards for other goods, buy a camel to transport goods, or sell in the market. The earlier you sell, the more goods you can sell at once, and the higher your profit will be. If you choose to take a card, you must choose from the following options: take all the camels, take a card from the market, or exchange 2 to 5 cards between the market and your hand. If you sell cards, you can only sell one type of good per turn, and you will receive chips equal to the number of cards you sold. As the game progresses, the value of the chips decreases, but if you sell a set of 3, 4, or 5 identical goods at once, you will get increasing rewards, so it is crucial to wait for the right moment to trade. You cannot sell camels, but they are essential for trade, and they also have some value at the end of each round, sometimes even enough to ensure victory, so use them wisely!
