"Most Wanted" 1.0.0 is a racing video game developed jointly by EA Canada, a subsidiary of American company Electronic Arts (EA), and Criterion Games, and released on November 15, 2005. As the ninth installment in the Need for Speed series, this game combines illegal street racing, vehicle customization, and police chases. Players need to surpass wanted drivers on the blacklist to increase their wanted level and compete for the top position. The game features an open-world design, set in a fictional industrial port city on the East Coast. It supports free driving, jumping, and car switching. The core gameplay includes a police tactical pursuit system, allowing players to intercept and surround opponents with up to 15 police cars and helicopters. Players can use nitro acceleration and performance modification components to deal with pursuits, and experience bullet time effects and online multiplayer racing modes. The game features licensed vehicles such as the BMW M3 E46 and Porsche Carrera GT, and also offers a "Wanted Edition" containing exclusive supercars. The PC version supports the Windows system, and several DLC expansion packs and mobile versions were later released.
